Archer Shirt Workshop

Archer Shirt Workshop

Friday, November 30 – Sunday, December 2

Lauren Taylor, the dynamo behind the blog Lladybird, is returning to Stitch! This time, she will guide us through making the Archer Shirt from Grainline Studios.

In this two and a half day workshop, you will learn how to sew a button down shirt, using the Archer Shirt Pattern from Grainine Studios (included with registration). We will go over everything you need to know to make a professional looking button down shirt – choosing the correct size, tips for a perfect collar, button plackets and button placement, and lots more!

The workshop will begin with a half day, to discuss sizing, fabric selection, and fitting concerns. Construction will begin the following morning, and will continue through the weekend. Please note that while this is not a fitting class per se, Lauren will cover basic flat pattern alterations and minor fitting adjustments as needed for each individual.

The Workshop

The cost of this Workshop is $525, which includes lunch on both full days, 18+ hours of sewing instruction, use of Shop equipment, and lots of exclusive surprises and treats.

*Please review our Weekend Workshop Policies.

The Workshop merriments will begin Friday at 2 pm, with a few hours devoted to determining sizing, selecting fabrics, and discussing any fitting concerns. Stay around for a casual cocktail party starting around 6 pm – mingle with Lauren and our fellow Workshop attendees (minimizing that dreadful first day of school feeling Saturday morning!) and pick up any last minute supplies you might need for the workshop*.

Saturday will bring a full day of making, beginning at 10 am. Lunch will be included, as well as some mid-afternoon pick-me-ups, and we will sew until 6 pm. Dinner reservations for the group will be made at a local favorite restaurant (Dutch treat) a pleasant walking distance from the Shop.

Sunday, return to the shop at 10 am, and pick up where you left off. Lunch will be provided, and you may depart as your schedule permits. The Shop is open until 6 pm; you are welcome to stay and sew as long as you like.
